Heaven

Just finished reading a book called "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. This book could have been titled, "Everything you might want to know about Heaven, but didn't know enough to ask". It was not light reading. This book reminded me of a few seminary text books I have read in the past. Alcorn was a pastor and a seminary professor; and used to teach on Heaven, before becoming an author. He went to great depth to research and compile what biblical scriptures and biblical scholars have to say about Heaven.
The results are very surprising and profound. Alcorn connects a lot of fragmented insights and prophesies about the New Heaven and New Earth. He paints a systematic, glorious, intricate, awe-inspiring panorama of the events and attributes of Heaven. There is so much more to say, but I don't want this quick review to get too long. It was a fascinating book and delivers inspiring hope to Christians in a fallen, broken world.
["But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."]

Blessings,
George
