Prayer Vigil

Our church has an all night prayer vigil every year on Maundy Thursday/Good Friday. Last night was the first vigil we have participated in, in many years. It was so profoundly inspiring to be in such a holy, peaceful, and reverent setting as the church chapel, during the late night hours. In an hour, you can truly pray and then listen for God's voice in your heart without feeling rushed. Although we pray together at home, to be in the company of four other brothers and sisters, all pouring our hearts out to the Lord in that reverent and silent setting is something you need to personally experience. Angie and I hardly spoke during our drive home, because we both had to have time to reflect. I wasn't really ready to leave at the end of our prayer hour. Looking forward to next year. I think I will just spend the night.  :-)

Blessings,
George
