Little Psalm, big lesson

As I was reading Psalm 3 tonight, it came to my attention that this psalm, otherwise known as one of many "praise" psalms, was conceived under less than ideal circumstances. Indeed, it was written while King David was literally running for his life. Yet, David stopped in the midst of a very trying period and reset his focus on his God and not his problems. In so doing, David's head was literally "lifted" from despair. Subsequently, God delivered and restored him, thereby strengthening his faith. Wow, great spiritual lessons are contained in this little psalm. Peace.
